Position Statement: Senator Byrd compares himself to a junkyard dog. So I shall compare myself to a snapping mud turtle.

Mud turtles as the tale goes will bite something and not let go until the sun goes down. Or until it thunders. Depending on the local version. I do not give up. I am just like a mud turtle, when I start something I do not let go. And now, I have ahold of a junkyard dogs hind leg and I do not intend to let go. |

Sometimes a dog will get away. But an ugly old mud turtle never gives up. Coming in 6th place out of 6 candidates in the 2006 Republican primary can be, well, humbling to say the least. Most would give up. But not this old mud turtle. |
