Position Statement:  How can an elected official oppose the draft? Are they not responsbile to protect this country?

Description of Position: 

I do not support a military draft unless we are provoked. I will defend this country as your Senator by imposing the draft if need be. I will pick up arms myself if need be. So although I'don t really support the draft and I don't believe we need one anytime soon. I will not go on record against the draft. I have faith in our young men and women to rise to the occassion when the need is there. So a military draft would be a low priority.

Please tell me your constructive opinions on this issue. If you disagree with my position, please provide some facts that support your position.
