Position Statement:  I am concerned about the intentions of an oil rich country that wants to develop nuclear power?

Description of Position:
Nuclear power expansion was basically abandoned here in the U.S. after Three Mile Island. Why then does Iran want to develop this dangerous form of energy production? Why not develop Solar energy or wind energy? Surely there is plenty of sunshine and wind in Iran to utilize these renewable energy sources?

The intentions of Iran continue to be revealed. Now that 15 British soldiers have been taken hostage their evil threat continues to unfold. Britian and Iran are not at war. Even under the circumstances of the British soldiers/sailers in question being caught in Iranian waters does not warrant them being taken hostage. The soldiers and their families are in my prayers for a peaceful end to this unnecessary nightmare. Iran should release them immediately. The longer the hostage situation takes the more evil their intent is realized. If a question of trespassing is real, then the governments should be held accountable for the mishap not the soldiers who were following orders. No trial should be considered. They should be released without further delay.
