Position Statement:  Voters took a giant step back.

Description of Position:
Voters were unhappy with the Republican controlled Congress and rightly so. So they went to the polls and voted the Democratic Party into power. Unfortunately, what they got was not solutions. In reality, the Republican Party needed an overhaul. But the Democratic Party needs an overhaul much much more. The Democratic Party centers around liberal values of appeasement for our enemies, freedom for all religious beliefs even to the detriment of our core American values and a selfish political agenda. Does the newly empowered Congress have solutions for the health care crisis? What about the cost of gasoline and the impending energy crisis? What about the coming Social Security crisis? What about the environment? What about national security? What about protecting American values?

The Democrats in leadership position in the Congress and in the Presidential race are not promoting our traditional American values. Instead, every single Democratic candidate for President believes it is legal and justified to murder innocent children in the womb of their mother. For the sake of convenience. The war in Iraq has split our country. Some believe it is justified. Others believe we are the aggressor and want to appease our enemies. For political gain.

Locally, West Virginia voters chose to elect gambling sponsored legislators. Concerned about one Republican with the interest to spend considerable amounts of money to promote moral values in the state. The result was that voters were deceived into voting against progress. The only serious piece of legislation passed was gambling related. Payback for those gambling funds donated to candidates. Why voters would sell our state to gambling syndicates remains a mystery. The Democrats used job creation and county revenue as the deception. Just like the lottery was touted as the cure all answer table games are now needed. Tax revenue and job creation from more gambling is not the answer. The Governor and the Democratic controlled legislature sold West Virginia for 30 pieces of silver.
