I strongly support our farmers. If I could have afforded to remain a farmer on a Doctor's salary I would have! Being raised in a farming county, I know that farmers need the governments help. The importation of produce and livestock is a dangerous alternative to supporting our farmers here in the US. West Virginia is one of the top 10 apple growing states in the country. Yet, when I purchase apple juice it has concentrate from over 8 different countries! The burden on the government to ensure the safety of the juice and other products is very costly. ITS TIME to support our farmers to grow the products we need and STOP importing. I know several farmers and I know they are all committed to growing the very best. Why does our government prefer to import products? ITS TIME to elect a Senator that will say GROW IT HERE. |
